Hartsbrook Campout 2026
Every year the entire Indian Hollow Campground is rented — by Hartsbrook families, for Hartsbrook families. This event is completely run and organized by parents, and we welcome all Hartsbrook families, past and present.
In a beautiful setting of trees and open playing fields, we pitch our tents, play frisbee and capture the flag, swim in the river, bicycle to other swimming holes, and build bike jumps in the woods. Some of us cook at our own campsites, while others share meals.
Scenes from past years

The weekend
- Thursday arrival & setup
Arrive any time from 2pm on — claim your spot, pitch your tent, and settle in.
- Friday community dinner
We host dinner for everyone: smoked chicken, potatoes, and veggies off the smoker. Potluck sides are welcome but never required, and you can optionally chip in a few dollars toward the food during registration. Food gets shared loosely all weekend — if camp cooking is a blocker, just come and be fed.
- Saturday campfire & drum circle
Songs, stories, and rhythm around the fire. Bring a drum if you have one!
- Sunday pack-up
Sunday, Aug 30 is pack-up and departure day.
Good to know
There are bathrooms with sinks, showers and flush toilets, and potable water. Picnic tables and grills are available at the campout.
